Gianna Tosello
"I love the material and the structures"
Gianna Tosello's works are of a conceptional kind, they are systems of a personal order where everything enters into relation with the whole. Fragment-form. Also, these "sculptures" are a reflection of her own "I". We are connected with each other as parts of a network, we move inside a labyrinth, the individual always being part of the whole. White-red-black: the colours that Gianna Tosello chooses for her fragments have their meaning, too. Energy makes its way by resolute red, white is the symbol of colour per se, black stands for absence. The motifs of Gianna Tosello's art repeat themselves: she condenses and expands, weaves a personal network by minimal means, develops "drawings in space", almost bas-reliefs of strong reduction and radicality, raising the issue of the relation between the I and society.
