Information

Gianna Tosello grew up in a family of musicians in Sarajevo. Her mother is Slavic, her father Italian. When she was 5 years old, the family moved to Merano.

After graduating from high school, she attended the Marangoni Fashion School and the model designer course at Istituto Callegari in Milan.

Next was an intense working period as a stylist in Milan, Rome and Turin.

She contributed to the design group "Nuova Alchimia" and created her own costume jewellery and fashion line. In 1992, she moved back to Merano where she continued her activity as a stylist and also started a new career as a dj.

Despite her professional commitment, she managed to dedicate herself to drawing and painting and went on study-trips to South America, the United States and several Eastern countries.

She abandoned fashion design when she decided to apply herself completely to painting. Her works have appeared in several personal and collective exhibitions in the Trentino Alto Adige region as well as in various national collections and in Munich,Vienna, Zurich, London, Stuttgart and in Spain.

Lives and works in Merano.
